The objective of the course is to equip students with knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable them to appreciate the relationship between knowledge and values to health problems and produce Community Health workers who can appreciate the roles of other professionals and involve them in the search for solutions to Health problems. Topcare Training College prepares the students for roles among others are to provide primary health care services i.e. immunization, health education and promotion, training of health volunteers, maternal and child health services at household level, community need assessment, disease prevention and control, Outreach services, family planning services, referral services and water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programs to the community to ensure access and availability of health care to all. The course varies from Artisan, certificate and diploma levels.
